Ian & Annie’s wedding is one I’m really looking forward to. From the first phone call from Ian, I knew we were going to hit it off – he was as quick to suggest a pub lunch to tell me more about his and Annie’s wedding plans as I was to accept, and it was no time at all before wedding bells were in the air. Oh wait – that’s not quite right… well, nevertheless, wedding bells ARE in the air, and Ian and Annie will be marrying each other in Brighton next year – they are a perfect match after all*.
*height perhaps being one small exclusion.
Before we get to the session proper though, it is worth mentioning that Ian & Annie know how to make a guy feel welcome – and in my book, inviting me to their home in Cambridge for brunch before we set about the town on this engagement shoot was definitely the way to go about it. With Ian being a good old English lad, the bacon and eggs made a solid appearance, and I suspect that Annie’s US background was to thank for the syrupy fruity goodness on offer. Take note people; it would seem that the way to this photographer’s heart is, at least in part, through timely provision of a selection of treats and delicacies 🙂
DISCLAIMER: The images below may represent a more collaborative approach to brunch preparation then actually appears in reality. And we’ll say no more about it.
We did have other business at hand of course, and so off we set, all togged up for the autumnal weather, wandering off as far as the eye could see. By this I mean Ian & Annie’s back yard. Well, we did go a bit further eventually, but the lovely apple tree garden, and the open field is right out the back – I love Cambridge!
